--- PushPIM --- PushPIM is an unique new approach to personal information management. Designed with the writer, artist, or other creative type in mind, it provides a free form environment in which to track of all the bits of text and visual information that comes through your computer. Like the familiar cork board it gives you a place to tack up or "PushPIM" stuff that you need to keep tabs on or that you simply want to keep visible. To make this environment evn more useful a full compliment of PIM tools are provided - CALENDAR & APPOINTMENT SCHEDULER, PHONE BOOK with AUTODIAL, TEXT SEARCH, TIMER-ALARMS, all kinds of PRINTOUTS and a super-convenient VIRTUAL DESKTOP. Because PushPIM is so flexible and has so many capabilities the creative and productive potentials of the program become more apparent as you continue to play with it. For example, if you are running Windows 3.11 (Windows For Workgroups) you can use it as a FAX base. Use it for a week and you will probably develop a whole new way of relating to the text and graphics you work with! To run PushPIM 1. You need to have VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows (or Windows\System) directory. 2. Run SETUP.EXE You can do this from the RUN option in the FILE menu in Windows Program Manager or by double clicking on the file SETUP.EXE in File Manager. You will be prompted for a directory to put the files into. You can accept the default or enter your own. 3. After a few seconds installation will be complete and you will be shown a new program group with the PushPIM icon in it. WE suggest you move this icon to another group. If you put it in the STARTUP group it will automatically open when you enter Windows (3.1 or better). 4. To use the extended capabilities of the Phone Book module put a copy of the CARDFILE aplet that comes with Windows in the PushPIM directory. 5. If you receive any error messages pertaining to a VBX or DLL it probably means that the SETUP routine encountered a preexisting version of that VBX or DLL in your Windows or Windows\System directories. Move or rename the VBX or DLL and then run setup again. 6. Questions or suggestions are welcomed. 908 668 1991 Copyright 1994, Human Development Systems
